The Sweetest Elopement Ever at Deception Pass, Washington
Emilee and Jason were planning to have their wedding in California on a summer day, but when the covid restrictions kept changing, they decided to scale back, think about what really mattered to them, and go from there. The day ended up looking totally different from what they had originally planned. Instead of a giant wedding celebration with their family and friends, they found themselves almost alone at a state park in Washington on a cold, foggy day in October. It was magical!!
They are two of the kindest souls you’ll ever meet — so in love, so ready to be married; it was clear nothing else mattered. Jason’s best friend flew up and surprised him the day before as a witness, and my husband Taylor officiated since he is a pastor, and I took photos. They said “I Do,” ate cake, drank champagne, danced on the beach, and we took photos into the night. It was a breathtaking evening; the sunset broke through the clouds as we were walking around the cliffs and it couldn’t have been more beautiful. It was them, and I was so, so happy to be there!!
