Di + Jason Spontaneously Elope | Orcas Island, WA

Sweet Di popped into my inbox only weeks before their elopement asking if I’d be down to photograph a super chill afternoon for them at their family cabin on Orcas Island! I immediately replied HECK YES.

“We don’t even have rings yet and I don’t have a dress or anything.. we just are ready to be married!” she told me over the phone.

You all know I am sooo about the gorgeous decor and thoughtful planning that takes months and aesthetic but this simple, simple elopement turned out to be exactly what was needed. It was so refreshing to take a huge step back and just be in the moment with them, and let their raw excitement and love take the front seat. I just love it. They kept telling me it would be nothing special, but it was most definitely one of my favorites to be a part of. Because it was just real!!
